About this session

Aurora Live invites you onto the ice at House of Curling in Danderyd, just north of Stockholm. It's one of the largest and most modern curling venues in Europe, and it works as well for first-timers as it does for experienced players.

Your host for the morning is Isabella Wranå, one of Sweden's most successful curlers. With her brother Rasmus she won Olympic gold in mixed doubles at Milano Cortina 2026, two years after the pair won the World Mixed Doubles title on home ice in Östersund. She also skips her own women's team, which took bronze at the 2026 World Championship in Calgary. She's won a Grand Slam title and a world junior gold as well, so you'll be learning from one of the best.

The day starts with breakfast in the Dining Hall. After that, Isabella introduces herself and you change for the ice. Then comes a hands-on introduction to curling: how to deliver the stone, how sweeping changes its path, and how to read the ice. Once you have the basics, you'll split into teams and try it out in friendly matches. You don't need any experience, just be ready to get a little competitive. The morning ends with a shared lunch, where you can talk over the best (and worst) shots of the day.

This Aurora Live event is about more than the sport. It's a chance to meet peers, swap ideas and see how well you work as a team when every shot counts.

Good to know

• Dress warmly. The hall is kept at 6°C, so bring a warm sweater and comfortable trousers with some stretch.
• Equipment is included. You'll get a helmet, shoes and a broom on site.
• Parking is free for 6 hours in the Curling Hall car park. Register your car when you arrive at one of the terminals inside the Hall on Levels 1 and 2.
